**Robert Neville click**Just when things were going well

I've been here for some time now. I've managed to get find myself sanctuary in a police station. From here I've been scrounging provisions and supplies. I've even found time to practice at the firing range. hey I think I'm getting better with a pistol??
We take turns on watch and things have been relatively quiet. However last night one of the zeds broke through our weakened barricades. I was resting from a long stint on patrol when all of a sudden the zeds bitten my hand. We manage to kill the creature, but I'm worried about this bite. Since this morning the bite looks worse. I'm getting sweats, feel nauseous and groggy all the time.
From my bearings I reckon the nearest hospital is 4 clicks away. There are barely any medical supplies here at the station, so I may have to take my chances and make a break for it.

Err, hello?

I'm not sure what's going on here. The last thing I remember is some smelly bum jumping out at me while I was leaving the restaurant.

Now I'm half-way across town and covered in blood and I don't think it's mine!

Man, my head is killing me. I'm going to see if I can fine some aspirin in this Police Station...

:OPEN FILE: // NecroTech Observation Project / Subjects / Nearly Headless Nick / 0002 >>

The sightings of this subject have been few and far between, including Gatcombeton, Shuttlebank, West and East Boundwood and Yagoton, over the recent weeks.

Even based on these spartan reports, it is evident that the subject has increased in in threat rating and has been re-categorised as Cat Z4 after showing increased speed and greater hand/eye co-ordination.

It has been decided to initiate a Revivication procedure on the subject [an in-field agent has been assigned] to determine the effects of prolonged exposure to the 'infection'.

Subject: Looking for Purpose

I've found a purpose to keep myself focused.

DNA tagging the Cat Zs isn't providing a sufficient distraction from the horrors around me. Plus, the number of subjects in the area has dropped and I am reluctant to search further a field.

Rumours have spread among the other refugees in the hospital that people have been seen with portable generators. No-one seems to have heard about the rescue team though...

If we could find one, we would be able to partially power the surgery suit and increase our option for treating those attacked in the surrounding areas.

I've discovered that the medical training I gained in my first-year at University are coming in very useful.

After a little searching I found one in Hitchens Street Fire Station. Now all I have to do is find some fuel to run it.

At least that will keep me occupied until the rescue team arrives. Where can they be?

Subject: Feels good!!!

Ooh yeah!!! It feels good to be out fraging Zs again.

I went out last night and blew two of the mothers away in a hail of 45s and shotgun shells!!!

I'm getting the feel of this place too. There are plenty of ropes and bridges people have set up between the buildings, so it's easy to jump from one building to the next. Plus, some builder guy gave me tips for repairing the barricades we use to keep the Zs out of out shelters.

I bumped into an old buddy of mine, John Fernton, last night. I think I'm beginning to like this city. It's starting to feel like home...

You stand up, a buzzing in your ears fading away as you do so. Adrenaline rushes unsteadily through your bloodstream.

Man that was some crazy dream! Can't remember exactly what it was about, just lots of blood and screaming.

I'm not sure what happened but I woke up outside some office building in Shuttlebank???

What the hell?!?

Who cares though, there's a police station across the road. It's time to find some fresh ammo and then cash in some payback cheques on these zombies asses.

Subject: Infected!

They broke into the hotel!

They must have pulled down the barricades while I was asleep. They were on me, biting and clawing...

The others fought them off and that's when I noticed that my wounds were infected. I had read the medical briefs before the evacuation, so I knew if they weren't treated ... well ... it wouldn't be good.

The hotel wasn't safe anymore. Anne General Hospital was only four blocks away, I should be able to make it there before the infection got too bad.

NO! The hospital is heavily barricaded. I can't get in!

Agapitus General is another four blocks and my wounds are getting worse ... what choice do I have?

When I reach the hospital I start to cough blood. Frantically, I search for medical supplies. My eye sight begins to blur. Is that a Med Kit? Yes! Thank you God. I begin to treat my wounds.

Where is the NecroTech rescue team? God please let them come soon...

The subjects activity, and lack of, over the last couple of days is both interesting and bemusing.

Once the subject reached St Swithun's Church it stopped inside and has remained there since. The church is known as place where local medics and scientists regularly revivify Cat Zs, but how the subject is aware of this in it's current state is unknown.

Over the following days the number of Cat Zs increased dramatically. At one stage 110+ were recorded both inside and out. At this point the location was officially categorised as over-run.

Shortly after the subject left the area heading East to the suburb of Shuttlebank, coming to rest out side the Marfell Building. We are unaware if or how the subject is aware that this is a cover for one of our NecroTech offices/labs...

Subject: Close Call

I had a close call today. I was searching the area surrounding the hotel and sampling the Cat Zs wandering around the area.

Working helps to keep my mind off things until the rescue team gets here.

Everything was going fine, these Cat Z's aren't exactly fast, when the last one I sampled lurched at me. I'm not ashamed to say I was terrified and ran as fast as I could.

The subject followed after me though ... swiping at me with it's broken fingers.

Fortunately, I made it back to the Hotel with just a few light wounds which one of the other refugees healed with a First Aid kit.

I hope the rescue team gets here soon. I realy do.

Subject: Awaiting Pick-up

I've managed to survive my first day alone in the city. I wandered around Hollomstown picking up supplies and looking for somewhere safe to hold up until the NecroTech rescue team comes for me.

I'm sure they will soon.

The area is reasonably quiet, I managed to sample a few of the wandering dead I came across without incident.

Curious how my DNA extractor is still functioning but I can't get a reply on my comms. Probably just a technical glitch. I'm sure it will be resolved soon.

I finally ended up at the Devine Motel in Whittenside. The building looks to have been reinforced by a previous tenant. Which is fortunate, as although I have acquired a fire axe and a flare gun I am in no doubt to my ineffectiveness when it comes to their application.

I think I will now retire with the wine and book I also found, hopefully the rescue team will be here in the morning.

You'd been working for NecroTech for a few months, before the disturbances began and the government quaratined the city. Several NecroTech labs were kept open under military guard during the evacuation, including the building you'd been working in - the decision was eventually made to relocate research operations to outside the quarantine zone.

During the relocation, however, you became separated from your military escort as you passed through Hollomstown, and are now wandering the city.

In contrast to the subjects previous attachment to suburb where he was killed and it's later random wanderings, it is now following a distinct pattern.

For the last few days, the subject has followed a generally NW path towards the suburb of Yagoton. Despite a few detours to hunt/attack survivors along it's journey, it is believed to be heading towards St Swithun's.

The church is a know base for the Yagoton Revivication Clinic. It is surmised that the subject's retained memories may be motivating it to seek out medical assistant for it current condition.

Private MaxPower..over...{crackle}

Maxpower75 is alive again. I have just been dropped into this god awful place. I'm just a grunt, in the 75th Squadron. Our original mission was thought to be an easy one....Scout out the area, obtain supplies and re-con back to HQ. Guess what, within minutes of dropping our unit was attacked by a frenzied mob. Sarge fired a few warning shots to disperse a crowd with no effect. The next thing one of them are ripping his throat open. This blood lust causes dozens of them to swarm all over him..Within seconds we are overpowered and I start firing shots to try and clear a path through the carnage.
It's been 2 hours since the first attack. My radio is out & I have not heard from the rest of the boys. God damn, what is going on here. I've just entered a building and was immediately attacked. I know this sounds crazy, but whatever these things are they definitly aren't human. I fired 2 full clips and it still wouldn't fall. Luckily I grabbed a fire axe that someone had discarded. It took at least 10 whacks before the creatures head came off. I'm tired, holed up and don't have a damn clue what is going on. I guess I will wait out now till daybreak and see if I can find out any more info. If anyone else is picking this up then my location is....zzzzp, crackle.....deeeeeeeee...........

The US Army Private Blues, Duke N. has been spotted by one of our observation flyover teams.

The Private had recently been reported deceased [see NecroTech BioLine implants / Vaccination Project files]. This confirms our beliefs that the contagion can be passed to new subjects who were not present at the original outbreak.

The subject has now been re-classified as Category Z1. He may still retain some of him life memories however, as he has been observed operating doors.

The unidentified subject is dressed in the tatters of a cheap Edwardian noble's fancy-dress costume. Possible a deceased theamed-restaurant worker or costume actor. His assigned name derives from the fact that his head lolls from side to side; almost severed it is held on only by a small flap of skin.

The Category Z1 subject is classed as a low level threat and appears to spend the majority of it's time wandering randomly between buildings. Although it's movement is seemingly aimless it is extensive, having been spotted in at least six suburbs.

Subject: Skarin Row is down!!!

The barricades are gone again and the doors are open. There are only a couple of us left and Zeds are in the 30s. Bodies everywhere... Time to book.

I sprint across to Morley Walk Police Station, keeping my head low as I'm out of ammo. The barricades where still up so I slipped inside for some much needed rest.

Damn! The dirt-pushers have gone inhere too. Barricades gone, people dropping everywhere. Can't move for bodies and shamblers. Got to get out, no time to look for ammo.

Run!!! Run!!! Got to find sanctuary

Grimmer Square Fire Station is lost. Got to keep moving... St Innocent's Church. Too tired to check for Zeds, need to rest...

Things have taken a turn for the worse!!! I've been holed up in Skarin Row Police Station, Dunningwood for the past week.

There's a bunch of us here, there's plenty of supplies and it's well barricaded. I've been using it as a base, making small runs out, killing a couple of Zeds and heading back for rest and more ammo.

I awoke in the night to find the barricades gone and the doors wide open. We have been betrayed! Some Zombie-loving muther is trying to tun us over to the dead. I raised the alarm and we scrambled to raise the barricades again., but it was to late! The dead are among us!

I fired off my last few rounds and scrambled around for more. Dropped two of the creeps and dumped the bodies out the window. The barricades are back up but now there are half-a-dozen of them trapped in here with us. Time to find another clip...
